Wood Kiln

The Wood Kiln makes Adrian's Ceramics Program one of the most equipped in the state and region. The Wood Kiln was built through the generosity of alumni Jane Castle, Tom Boldt, Ann and Howie Vreeland. They will be honored at a pig roast (yes, in the kiln itself) Homecoming weekend. Adrian College also has a salt kiln and two updraft gas kilns along with 2 raku kilns, primitive fire area, multiple electric kilns, and individual work spaces for upper level students. To view more photos of the new wood kiln, click here. To learn more about Adrian College's Art & Design program, click here.

Office of Career Planning
Formerly the Career Services office, the Office of Career Planning has been completely revamped with new offices, resources, and director. Shannon Martineau, Director of Career Planning, has big ideas for the new office, and looks forward to assisting Adrian College students with their career goals. For more information, visit the Career Planning site.

Spirit Program
New for the 2007-2008 academic year is a spirit program. This program will consist of an all-girl cheerleading squad, dance team, and a mascot. The cheerleading squad will consist of 12-20 females and will cheer for all home football and basketball games. The main goal of the squad will be to raise the school spirit and promote good sportsmanship; however, it is possible that the squad will be competitive as well. For more information, visit the Cheer & Dance site.

Marching Band

Currently, forty students participate in the Adrian College pep band and regularly play at all home games, supporting the team and building school spirit. Starting Fall 2007 the pep band will emerge into a full-blown marching band, with new uniforms, instruments and a field show! New scholarship opportunities are available to students who are interested in playing in the Adrian College Marching Band. For more information, visit the Marching Band site.

Arrington Ice Arena

Adrian College broke ground in October 2006 to begin building the Arrington Ice Arena. The new ice arena plans to open Fall 2007 for both the college and the community. With the ice arena on campus, Adrian will offer both men and women's intercollegiate hockey, men's club hockey, and women's synchronized skating. For more information visit Adrian College's Athletic site.

Bring Your Horse To College

This fall Adrian College partnered with local boarding facility, Wolf Creek Stables, to allow students the opportunity to bring their horse to college. Wolf Creek Stables is one of the finest equine facilities in the area. For the price of boarding, students can rest assure that their beloved horses are well cared for when they don’t have time to ride. For more information, visit the Adrian College @ Wolf Creek Stables site.

Multi-Sport Performance Stadium

One of the first steps of Renaissance I was to build a performance stadium to allow more athletic teams to play on campus. The new stadium was dedicated on September 9, 2006 with three exciting home games, men's & women's soccer and football. For more information about the stadium and many athletic opportunities, visit the Adrian College Athletic site.
