Shawna Stephenson checks out the historical exhibit Myths, Mischief, & Mahan that depicts Adrian College through the years which was open following the State of the College last week. The exhibit is part of a project developed by Dr. Jass's history class and the Lenawee County Historical Society, which will also appear at their museum in the fall.

Capt. Sam Meyer displays the Adrian College flag that the Student Athlete Advisory Committee sent him over the holidays. SAAC chose to send Capt. Meyer and his unit 15 boxes for a Support our Troops care package for Christmas. The athletes donated goods and other items to send over in an effort to make their Christmas away from their families a little brighter.

A group of 21 students, faculty, and staff recently went to Columbus, OH for a DVD screening of the documentary 'Running the Sahara' which features Charlie and two other runners who ran 4,300 miles in 111 days across the Sahara Desert.

AC Student, Ryann Waterstradt holds up part of the orange paper "Freedom Chain" that is currently draped around the balcony of the Caine Student Center as a visual reminder of the people who are held as slaves in today's world. The Freedom Chain is a unique educational piece conceived by the Adrian College students of the "Not for Sale" movement. The Freedom Chain has 2,700 paper links, each representing 10,000 enslaved people, and the chain is 522 feet long!

AC theatre department hosted a circus workshop for students involved in the
production of "Barum". Cirque Amongus from Livonia Michigan were on campus to teach some basic circus skills to the actors.

This summer Dr. Bott hosted a Bon Voyage party for the record number of AC students who will be traveling to Japan this fall. Seven students will be studying abroad and a 2008 alum is going as part of the prestigious JET program. The people pictured above are:
