Physical Infrastructure Subcommittee
Issue

  • Academic facilities and master plan G2-6.1

Academic Structure and Practices Subcommittee
Issues

  • Revamped freshman orientation program G3-5.1
  • Institutional research function G3-7.1
  • Analyze and revise the internal communication practices G4-1.1
  • Review and revise the College Mission G4-3.1
  • Develop a Department Chair manual G4-3.2
  • Evaluate and revise institutional assessment G4-3.3
  • Evaluate current programs against peer and aspirant schools G4-3.4
  • Evaluate and revise the current academic structure of departments and collegia G4-3.5
  • Prepare a revised faculty development plan G5-7.1
  • Develop a strategy for refocusing faculty on scholarly activities and integrating those activities into the classroom G5-7.2
  • Evaluate the current workload demands of faculty (teaching, advising, professional development, college service) G5-7.3

Curriculum Revision Subcommittee
Issues

  • Revise/Develop a Freshman/First Year Experience G5-2.1
  • Revise the academic calendar G5-6.1
  • Replace the current May term with a January term G5- 6.1
  • Develop a common freshman core of classes G5-2.3
  • Add a crosscutting interdisciplinary dimension to the curriculum G5-2.5
  • Implement institution-wide policies and procedures for capstone experiences in academic areas G5-3.2
  • Implement curriculum revision that results in a meaningful educational experience distinctive to Adrian College but commensurate in quality to tier 2 institutions G5-4.4

Internationalization/Experiential Learning Subcommittee

  • Enhance relationships with external institutions G4-3.7
  • Develop a comprehensive international program G5-2.4

Support and Scheduling Subcommittee

  • Develop a 6-week summer session for provisional accepts G5-2.2
  • Develop an institutional student attendance policy G5-3.1
  • Clearly define the expectations for effective academic advising G5-4.2
  • Evaluate the credit allocation of classes G5-4.3

Technology Subcommittee
