Women's Studies (minor)
MISSION STATEMENT
Women’s Studies is an examination of women's contributions to culture and history and the study of links between culture and gender in diverse contexts. Students are encouraged to take classes that focus on women’s experiences and the construction of gender roles and identities from a variety of areas, including history, psychology, religion, English, communications, art history, philosophy, and sociology.
“Women's Studies is an essential piece of not only Adrian College, but everyday life as well. Throughout my endeavors, I have seen many inequalities that still exist between men and women which are simply tucked under the rug. Women's Studies helps to pull the rug back and expose people to what is really happening in the world around them.”
