Secondary Education
Secondary Options | Secondary Education Track

Secondary must complete:

  • One teaching major AND one teaching minor
    OR one comprehensive group major (integrated science)
  • Requirement: Pass MTTC test in major
  • Option: Pass test in minor for 2nd endorsement (We strongly encourage this!)


Leads to Michigan certificate to teach:

  • Grades 6-12 in major area
    AND, if minor MTTC test is passed,
  • Grades 6-12 in minor area

Note: The Physical Education, Spanish, French, and German majors can lead to K12 endorsements, in addition to secondary (gr. 6-12) certification in your minor.
