2010 Mathematics Department Award recipients are Johnny Brubaker Jr.and Perry A. Kuipers.

Perry A. Kuipers, a double major in Mathematics & Political Science, will be participating in an REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) during the summer of 2010. Perry's future plans include Graduate School in Applied Mathematics, focusing on areas applicable to the social sciences and Political Science. The Mathematics program at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana is one of the most selective in the country.

2009 Mathematics Department Award recipient: Neal Mossing

Peter Malburg, a double major in Mathematics and Physics, recently passed the 2nd Actuarial Exam (Financial Mathematics). Pete is a December 2009 graduate.

2008 Mathematics Achievement Award Recipients: Katherine M. Kilimas & Adam J. Soper

2008 Mathematics Department Award Recipient: Tomoyuki Tamura

Dr. Weiqun Zhang's paper,"Numerical Solutions of Linear and Nonlinear Singular Perturbation Problems", has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Computers and Mathematics with Applications. This paper is mainly based on his doctoral dissertation.
