The purpose of this project is to create a place that brings attention to the work of Michigan women artists. This website provides users with a collection of researched information about unique women artists native to Michigan. Research combines primary sources as well as interviews to create a resource that until now was currently non-existent. This website features artists' works in a series of image and resource galleries, an artist’s spotlight, which features an interview with a unique Michigan woman artist.  Over time, future classes will continue updating this site by contributing additional information about other Michigan women artists and their works. Conceived and executed as an ongoing process, this site will satisfy an important need for art resources for the community , while encouraging students to recognize and support the works of Michigan Women Artists.
