Dr.
Tina Claiborne came to Adrian College as the
Program Director of athletic training in Fall
2007. She earned her BS degree in Athletic
Training at Ithaca College, and her MS and
PhD degrees in clinical kinesiology and biomechanics
from The University of Toledo. Prior to coming
to Adrian, Tina was the Athletic Training
Education Program Director at the University
of Southern Maine. Before becoming an educator,
Dr. Claiborne accumulated over 8 years as
a clinical athletic trainer in private and
public high schools, as well as in the orthopedic
sports rehabilitation setting. Tina is also
a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Heather
Schuyler came to Adrian College as Assistant
Professor in Athletic Training in Fall 2008.
She earned her BS degree in Athletic Training
at Eastern Michigan University, and her MA
degree in Exercise Science from the University
of South Florida. Prior to coming to Adrian,
Heather was an Assistant Athletic Trainer
at the University of Tampa where she also
taught classes in Athletic Training. Heather
is also a certified Massage Therapist. More

Victor
Liberi came to Adrian college as Assistant
Professor in Athletic Training in Fall 2009.
He earned his MS degree in Biomechanics at
University of Delaware, Newark. Victor specializes
in Clinical Education, Rehab. and Conditioning
of the Overhand Athlete, Biomechanics of Soccer
Heading, Airway Access in Helmeted Athletes,
and Male Pelvic Pain. More
Jamie
Fetter, MS, ATC
Head Athletic Trainer/Clinical Instructor

Jamie
Fetter began as the Head Athletic Trainer
at Adrian in 2004. Before coming to Adrian
College, Jamie spent 7 years at Tiffin University
as the head athletic trainer, overseeing all
aspects of the athletic training department.
He also taught classes at the University.
Jamie earned his master’s degree from
Ohio University in 1997 and his bachelor’s
degree from Defiance College in 1996. Jamie
and his wife, Stephanie reside in Adrian,
and have three children - Tyson, Brook, and
Trenton.
Troy Blasius, MA, ATC
Assistant Athletic Trainer
Troy Blasius is an assistant athletic trainer and clinical instructor. Prior to joining Adrian College, he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Minnesota State University-Mankato where he worked closely with the football team. During his time at Minnesota State University-Mankato, he earned his Master’s degree in Sport Management. Troy received his BA in athletic training from Hope College in 2009.

Dawn Marsh has been the Director of Student Health Services since August 2009. She is a Registered Nurse and attended Northwest State.
Meg Sharp, MS, ATC, CSCS
Meg Sharp is an Assistant Athletic Trainer working primarily with Women’s Soccer, Women’s Ice Hockey and Softball. Prior to joining Adrian College, she worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. Her primary responsibilities were Women’s Volleyball and Women’s Tennis.
Meg attended Grand Valley State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She continued on to graduate school at Middle Tennessee State University where she received her Master of Science in Exercise Science.
Dr. J. Michael Maxwell
Team Physician/Medical Director of Athletic
Training Education
Dr.
J. Michael Maxwell is a board certified orthopedic
surgeon with a practice in Adrian. He serves
patients in Adrian and surrounding communities.
He opened his practice in Adrian in 1987.
Dr. Maxwell did his undergraduate work at
Tulane University and received his M.D. from
the University of Arkansas. He did his orthopedic
residency at the University of Texas. His
practice includes sports medicine, treating
diabetic and peripheral neuropathy and other
peripheral nerve disorders; rotator cuff tears,
shoulder and knee injuries, and arthroscopic
surgeries; joint replacements; treating carpal
tunnel syndrome. He is a member of the American
Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Practice Management
Committee and is the Team Physician for Adrian
College.
