College’s Computer Information Systems
program – we call it CIS – teaches
you the basic skills and advanced concepts you’ll
need to relate knowledge form all fields –
English, math, sciences, social sciences, art,
music – to the growing world of computer
technology.
For instance, you’ll
learn to:
- do electronic graphic design
- design complex dynamic web projects
- build a computer
- design and retrieve information from relational
databases
- collect information from scientific equipment
- use GPS (global positioning systems)
If you like working with computers,
you should focus your time on the areas that
interest you the most:
If you want to design projects
related to real-world needs, perhaps combined
with other interests such as science, writing,
design, psychology. . study CIS at Adrian –
we offer many ways to study computers and teachers
with diverse talents and backgrounds.
If you want to study
the theory and structure of computers and computer
programs or to do extensive research in computer
engineering. . . consider an engineering or
computer science curriculum in a tech school
or university setting.
