Graduates are regularly
accepted into schools of medicine, dentistry,
veterinary, physical therapy, optometry, and
pharmacy. Included are Ohio State, Duke, Michigan,
Michigan State, Wayne State, Indiana, the
Medical College of Wisconsin, and Detroit
Mercy.
Amanda Wrona earned a doctorate in marine
biology and is now Savannah River project
director for The Nature Conservancy in Georgia.
Several students now enrolled in the University
of Michigan College of Pharmacy completed
pharmacy internships while at Adrian.
As a student, Ryan Seipke worked with faculty on pollution-degrading
bacteria and was one of 14 students in the US selected for summer
research at The University of Iowa. Seipke completed his Ph.D. in
Microbiology at Cornell University in 2008 where he worked on bacteria
that cause disease in potato. He is now a postdoctoral research
associate at the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom where
he works on the discovery of new antibiotics
Peter McDonell completed a summer research
program at the University of Iowa, discovered
that he didn't like research, and is now studying
environmental law at the University of Michigan.
